Eco-friendly Studio
I knew when I started Studio Chelsea that I wanted to be as eco-friendly as possible. Minimizing our impact on the environment is so important to me. As an early stage small business, I want to do everything I can to think about sustainability, and it will only get better as the studio grows!
Here are some of the ways I've implemented eco-friendly studio practices:
- Recyclable, tab-locking rigid mailers
- Water-activated gummed paper tape - 100% recyclable, biodegradable and repulpable
- Recyclable backing boards
- Minimal packaging materials and brand inserts
- Studio printer with larger ink wells, reducing cartridge replacements
- Printing orders on demand to reduce waste
- In-studio prints on archival fine art paper composed of 100% fiber made from cotton linters. These linters are considered "recovered fibers" by the EPA - reclaiming linters puts to use what would have become waste
- Carbon-neutral shipping from the studio across North America
I would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions on how I can increase sustainability in my studio! Simply send an email to hello@studiochelsea.ca.
